About 10 AM in Philly

Website Overview

Update: This blog has been temporarily taken over by Mark Riello, who will provide rambling yet compelling takes on sports, music, pop culture, and whatever else comes to his head...oh shit wait, that's exactly what I did on here...oh well, please enjoy.

Hello there! My name is Alex Mednick, and welcome to 10 AM in Philly, where I invite you to join me as I indulge my most heartfelt and occasionally unusual opinions on sports, music, movies, TV shows, and all other things pop culture, although my inspiration for writing about our culture has certainly waned since a certain orange man decided he wanted to Make America Great Again.

My artistic passions do not stop at writing blog posts, however, as you can also find some of my work creating advertisements from my cherished, and ongoing, time studying copywriting at Temple University. Advertising is my newest passion, and the one that I find myself being more and more engulfed in the longer I spend time immersing myself in it. Writing blogs will always provide ample self-amusement, but I believe advertising holds endless possibilities for me creatively and professionally.

10 AM in Philly is basically an amalgam of my "essence," if you want to get all bougie about it. 10 AM (my favorite number + my initials) is my mantra, for lack of a better term. If I had a brand, a movement, 10 AM to me would be like OVO to Drake. Speaking of the 6 God, if you're simply a Drake fan who confused the name of the website with a new single of his, I'm sincerely sorry about that. Stay and look around though! If you like Drake and sports, chances are you will find something you're interested in. Did I mention I make music? You can check out my songs on here as well. Perhaps you may even confuse me for Drake, who knows?!?!

Above all else, I hope that from any visit you make to this blog, you can come away with at least a chuckle or a new, interesting way of thinking about a certain topic or idea. Maybe you just come away convinced I'm the reason blogs shouldn't be free and available to any person with a laptop. Probably means you took the time to check out something on here, and for that, I thank you.

Please send any and all questions that you may have for me about anything really, like "What's the funniest quote from The Other Guys?" or "Who is the ideal Center in the modern NBA game?" or even "Why/how is Frank Ocean so incredible?" (you know, the really important stuff) to my Twitter account, @AMednick10.

Happy blogging, and god bless my friend.
