The following scripts are the ones I am most fond of in my short time creating advertisements thus far. Even though these are merely spec scripts from my copywriting courses, if these companies happen to stumble across this page don't be shy to hit me up if you like what you see *winking face emoji*:

MOTEL 6

Here are two scripts for Motel 6 radio spots that fall in line with their classic Tom Bodett-led campaign that they have been running for about 86 years now (that's accurate, I think). In these monologues, I aimed to replicate Tom's signature speaking style while injecting them with some of my own writing style. The first script is promoting a deal for free HBO included in one's stay at Motel 6, while the second one is for free Wi-Fi. 

CLIENT: Motel 6

JOB: :60 Radio

TITLE: “GAME OF DRAGONS”

TOM BODETT: Hey there. Tom Bodett here for Motel 6 to tell you about this great deal we got going on right now. For all you HBO lovers out there, book a room at Motel 6 and it will already be sitting in your TV like grandpa in his favorite chair. It’s got all the best programs out there, like Westworld, Veep, and even that Game of Dragons thing that people go so crazy for. Seems like everyone nowadays has HBO on their phones, computers, and all their other devices, so you can go ahead and add your Motel 6 room to that list now too. You can even watch a classic old movie on there, but I know you’re probably just gonna go right to that Game of Killer Ice Zombies, I think it’s called. If that’s the case, then we got it all set up for you whenever you want to kick back in your room’s comfortable bed. I don’t watch the show or anything, but that Game of Jon Snow Died But Now He’s Alive Again really does seem like a good time. Anyway, I’m Tom Bodett for Motel 6, and we’ll leave the light on for you.

JOB: :60 Radio

TITLE: "HOME SWEET HOME'

TOM BODETT: Hey there. Tom Bodett here to tell you that Motel 6 feels more like home than ever before. No, we didn’t build fireplaces in every room, or have a warm glass of hot chocolate waiting for you. We didn’t hang pictures up of Mom, Dad, and the rest of the family, though that would probably be more strange than comforting for you I suppose. In fact, your next Motel 6 room will most likely look no different than your last one. What has changed, however, is the free wifi waiting for you when you stay with us next. Nothing says “home sweet home” nowadays then those three little bars popping right up in the top left corner of your phone when you step into your house. I know when I have company over, the first question I get every time is, “What’s your wifi password, Tom?” You can rest easy knowing you don’t have to go through that familiar rig-a-ma-roll with your local Motel 6, and you can get right to checking your email, looking up those funny meme things on the Twitter, or even send out a ChatSnap to your friends, who knows? Whatever your Internet-based needs are, just know we got you covered with our wifi, free of charge. I’m Tom Bodett for Motel 6, and we’ll leave the light on for you.

KRAZY GLUE

Krazy Glue doesn't exactly jump out at you as being the most exciting product by any means, so this radio script was written to take a new approach at getting people interested in something that they have had lying around their house their entire lives.

Big Idea: Some things never break apart from each other, but get Krazy Glue to keep everything else together.

SFX: “BLUEPRINT 2” INSTRUMENTAL BY JAY Z PLAYS. START AT :28, FADES OUT AS ANNCR ENDS

ANNCR: Krazy Glue Presents: Inseparable Pairs. Here we celebrate those loyal couples who never break apart from one another. Today we highlight Peanut Butter and Jelly, the King and Queen of sandwich components.

JELLY: I know, but I thought maybe we could switch it up this time.

PB: Sorry Jells, but that’s not gonna happen. And why are you all red now?

JELLY: Oh, it’s the new Strawberry style, you like it? All the Jellies are doing it.

PB: I like purple better on you, change it back.

JELLY: You know PB, you never want me to have any fun! You’re lucky I don’t just find another sandwich with a nicer, richer peanut butter.

PB: Well we’re stuck together, like it or not. Besides, I could’ve dumped you for that beautiful Nutella years ago…

PB & JELLY: (Inaudible back-and-forth arguing)

SFX: “BLUEPRINT 2” INSTRUMENTAL FADES IN AT :54, PLAYS THROUGH END OF SPOT
